Our Technology

Ring2’s proprietary technology provides unique conference call visibility, security and control capabilities that solve everyday problems familiar to frequent conference callers. The technology features several patent-pending innovations under the International Patent Cooperation Treaty and various national processes.

Core to Ring2’s approach is the concept of separating the control and management of calls from the physical trunking and mixing of the voice streams. On a Ring2 conference call, the call leader and participants still dial into the call from any phone (e.g. meeting room speaker phone, desk phone or mobile phone) but can then separately take remote control of the call from a PC or mobile device.

The system infrastructure has been designed for robustness and resilience. Each of Ring2’s data centers is supported by at least two tier-1 carriers and each component of Ring2’s system – telephony supply, gateways, media mixing and IP infrastructure – is provisioned in a pooled resource cluster supported with hot swappable back-up equipment.
