Ring2 Conferencing partners with IT Accord to serve the Lloyd’s Insurance market - press release

Posted: Friday, November 09, 2007

LONDON - 9th November, 2007 - Ring2 Conferencing, the world's first audio-conferencing company to offer remote control of calls from a mobile device, today announced a partnership with London-based marketing consultancy, IT Accord, to promote its service to the 450 companies affiliated to Lloyd's of London, many of whom are established BlackBerry® smartphone users.

Lloyd's is the world's leading insurance market, providing specialist insurance services to businesses in over 200 countries and territories. The Lloyd's affiliate companies are looking to increase the security within their communications making Ring2 Conferencing the ideal solution.

Ring2's service is a premium business audio-conferencing service, which eliminates familiar problems and frustrations for conference callers by turning a BlackBerry® smartphone into an independent remote controller of the call. Users still dial into the call from any phone, but can then take separate remote control of the call from their BlackBerry smartphone for increased visibility, security and control.

Ring2 and IT Accord's first joint initiative was to host a Forum on the topic of "BlackBerry, Beyond email" which was presented by Lee Underwood, Commercial Relationships Director, Research in Motion and Andy Tipton, Alliance Solutions Manager, Research in Motion. The event was well attended by IT Managers from within the Lloyd's affiliate companies and a second briefing is planned for early in the New Year.

"Ring2 Conferencing's mobile and web remote control features help companies to experience smooth and secure conference calls and will benefit insurance companies in Lloyd's and the wider London market," commented director, Brian Groves, IT Accord Limited. "I look forward to working with Ring2 to create awareness of their innovative service within the Lloyd's market."
